Welcome to our Patient Resource Center
Accessing the Patient Portal
Once you're registered and scheduled in our system, you'll receive an email from Sadio with instructions to set up your patient portal account. This email may occasionally land in your spam or junk folder, so be sure to check there if you don’t see it in your inbox. The patient portal is a convenient way to manage your care — you can view upcoming appointments, pay bills, request prescription refills, and review notes from past visits, all in one secure place.
What to Expect After Scheduling
Once your dermatology appointment is scheduled, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the date and time. You may be asked to complete pre-registration and submit your medical history through our secure online portal. If you’re unable to do so ahead of time, you can complete everything when you arrive.
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment to allow time for check-in and paperwork. Be sure to bring your current insurance card, a valid photo ID (such as a driver’s license), and a list of any medications you’re currently taking.
Kindly note: All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for their first initial visit.
Virtual Visits
We offer virtual appointments from the comfort of your home or office to select patients and select conditions only. Certain medical conditions may not be sufficiently addressed via a virtual visit due to the limited nature of a virtual exam, and may require an in-person medical appointment. Virtual visits are conducted with the same level of quality, privacy, and professionalism as in-person appointments. Your provider can discuss your concerns, treatment options, send prescriptions, and more during your virtual visit.
How to request a Virtual Visit (IF APPLICABLE)
Call our office at (248) 963 5915 to schedule your visit.
Mention your request for a virtual visit and the reason for your visit
Our scheduling staff and our providers will then determine if your specific condition can be sufficiently addressed via a virtual visit. If your condition qualifies for a virtual visit, they will get you registered and scheduled for your virtual visit, providing further instructions for your visit. If your condition does NOT qualify for a virtual visit, our staff can help you schedule an in-person appointment to address your concerns.
Insurance
MI Skin Center participates with most major insurance plans and we offer fair pricing for uninsured patients. We encourage patients to check with their insurance company prior to your visits to determine if our office is in-network with your specific insurance plan or if your specific plan requires a referral.
If you have questions about your insurance coverage, feel free to contact us directly at (248) 963-5915.
